Sermorelin Acetate
Sermorelin is a synthetic analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), consisting of the first 29 amino acids of endogenous GHRH, which represent the biologically active fragment. It is primarily used clinically to stimulate the pituitary gland to produce and secrete endogenous growth hormone, making it a popular therapeutic option for adult growth hormone deficiency, age-related GH decline, and off-label anti-aging and body composition purposes.
Mechanism of Action
Sermorelin binds to GHRH receptors (GHRHR) on somatotroph cells in the anterior pituitary gland, stimulating the synthesis and pulsatile release of endogenous growth hormone in a physiologically regulated manner. The released GH subsequently triggers hepatic production of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), which mediates the downstream anabolic, lipolytic, and tissue-repair effects. Because sermorelin works through the hypothalamic-pituitary axis rather than bypassing it, natural negative feedback mechanisms remain intact, reducing the risk of GH excess compared to exogenous GH administration.

Dosing Protocols
30-60 minutes before bed on an empty stomach, coinciding with the natural nocturnal GH pulse

Administered as subcutaneous injection, typically into the abdomen. Avoid eating 1-2 hours before and after injection as elevated insulin blunts GH release.
